When a person goes to pieces
like freezing sparrows her thoughts depart
The seeds run out of her and she’s hollow
It happens so slowly, her own mother
fails to notice
You can´t hear her cry any more, the tears
have frozen solid in her past
and she is no one
We first take notice when her eyes
are gone, her gaze coagulated
For a little while yet she keeps going
as if propelled by motion itself
When she stops
It grows quiet around her
This was she, this was she who once
hoarded joy´s love´s belonging´s
every possibility.
