Even during
these difficult times, we are doing our best to bring the harsh reality of
the occupation in both Gaza and the West Bank before the public in hopes of
creating better days to come.
These
past difficult weeks of intense warfare resulted in a horrifically high
toll of casualties and wounded in Gaza and in Israel. As an organization of
former soldiers, we took on the responsibility of shedding light on what is
going on in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, through testimonies from
our time of service. Even during these difficult times, we are doing our
best to bring the harsh reality of the occupation in both Gaza and the West
Bank before the public in hopes of creating better days to come.
On Thursday, July 17th, around 1,000 people rallied for a Breaking the
Silence event at Habima Square in Tel Aviv under the call: We Refuse to Close
our Eyes! We read testimonies from soldiers who served in
Gaza so that the entire country would understand what Israeli soldiers are
being sent to do for our sense of security.
