SINAR in Malaysia – for Education on Integrity

Sabah to talk to the very young organization
SINAR, founded in 2016. Its main focus is on integrity in the communities.
The education on integrity also involves rural communities, refugees, and
stateless people in the region.

about the history of your organisation.
SINAR is a very
young organization in Malaysia. The abbreviation SINAR stands for Sabah Integrity
Alliance Association (SINAR). It was founded as local NGO in Sabah on 26 June
2016.

The main goal we
would like to achieve consists in supporting the community in various issues,
including welfare, humanitarian, human resources, human rights, and education.

The main social
issue SINAR cares about is the promoting of integrity as backbone of the SINAR
Education Program in many areas including Humanity, Human rights, Education for
communities, tradition and culture, economics as well as sustainable
development.

What are your main
fields of activity?

The main
activities carried out by SINAR among others are the Citizenship educational
program for stateless people and refugees to learn about integrity and the Peoples
integrity with leadership program held every week within the communities and leaders
in every village in our region Sabah to focus on the development of integrity
at a community level.

What does your
organisation do to promote women rights?

To support women
empowerment and women rights we organize awareness campaigns at a local level
to teach people the importance of protecting women rights, and to give priority
to women in society. SINAR also cooperates with governmental organizations
focussing on women affairs to sponsor women activities in local rural communities
in the region of Sabah.

In all our
programs we cooperate with the departments of the local authorities such as the
Police, the Department of immigrations, the
national register department, the department for Islamic affairs and the parliamentary
members.
