Dankend
Dr. phil. Milena Rampoldi

Live blog: Gaza under attack

Imprisoned Egyptian socialist: “The liberation of
Palestine starts with the liberation of Cairo”
Mahienour
El-Masry, an imprisoned activist with the Revolutionary Socialists in Egypt,
has sent a letter
from her jail cell
saying that the liberation of Palestine cannot
come until their is a leader in Egypt willing to support the cause:
“The
liberation of Palestine starts with the liberation of Cairo. The Palestinian
cause has always been a card among many in the hand of various regimes; be it
Morsi’s that used it in the emotional context without providing any real
support for the cause, or the current regime that closely abides by Camp David
Accords and thus, as expected, considers the resisting oppressed a criminal,
while presenting the oppressor as the victim; All the while sacrificing the
Palestinian cause in exchange for excuses to justify their incompetence.
“The
current regime that imprisons thousands of wronged citizens (be it under
political or criminal charges) will surely view Palestinians as traitors; just
as it views any human demanding its just rights as an agent and saboteur.
“Praised
be everyone of our brothers and heroes of Palestine and all soldiers of the
resistance, and shame upon all traitors and sell-outs.”
